Critical Sass!

My current levels of SASS are at critical mass today. I'm veering dangerously close to a full on Sassafrass attack. I'm hyper, happy, lippy, feisty and all over the place today. I kept messing with the Mr. and the Sister (hey that rhymed) over instant messages all day while at work and I just couldn't seem to stop. NOR DID I WANT TO STOP! HA! I DO WHAT I WANT!

In case you need a refresher, the definition of Sass is "improperly forward or bold". Yep, that's me!

For breakfast today I changed up the oatmeal but JUUUST a bit. Still keeping it nice and simple and lower calorie, of course.
  • 1/2 cup Irish oats
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 20 grams (1/2 serving) Newman's Own Organics dried cranberries
  • 1 tbs unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 packets splenda
  • dash salt
  • dash cinnamon

Not very photogenic aye? Still tasted delicious though which is all that matters!

Lunch was even better. I brought in leftovers (Thai rice noodles with veggies) from dinner last night. Not quite a full serving so I had fruit on the side as well (small orange, half of a banana and half of an apple). Perfecto!

I decided to get all of my grocery shopping done at lunch today. I LOVE grocery shopping! Seriously! It's one my favorite things to do. One of my LEAST favorite things to do is pay for it. GOOD GRIEF eating healthy can be so expensive sometimes! HA! Ever notice how even when things go on sale, the fat free or light version of the same product does not? Thanks a lot Mr. Manufacturer. As a matter of fact I would LOVE to stay unhealthy and overweight and eat the regular FATTY (on sale) version! Ridiculous! This has always bothered me. Anyways... Moving on... Apologies!

My afternoon pre-workout snack was a bowl of DELICIOUS AND CREAMY OIKOS! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! The lovely, beautiful and intelligent Ann (I'm kissing your ass here Ann in case you ever feel like sharing more) brought a serving in for me today from her secret stash. I was missing it so much. It's my version of crack and I was fiending bad! I added splenda, half of a banana and half of an apple (purposely left over from lunch) and moaned all the way through this sexy little bowl of decadence. Seriously, I moaned!

After work we went to the gym and my sass filled ass did the following.

I feel so much better after getting in 3 days of exercise in a row under my belt. One of the regular members told me I was shrinking yesterday. Hot damn, that felt good to hear. I love my gym! :)

When I got home I put all the groceries away. It took FOREVER because I am obsessed with organizing my cabinets, fridge and freezer every time I go shopping. ALL THINGS MUST BE IN ORDER, LABELS FACING FORWARD! I have issues! The fridge is nice and full now. Here's a visual for proof.

I sort of have a condiment, salad dressing, sauce/marinade obsession as well... Check it out!

Here is my Morning Star Farms stash. LOVE this stuff!

HA! Okay, moving on. After my "fridge makeover" I relaxed in a nice hot bath and then decided to try something new I dreamed up the other day. Into a bowl I tossed the following.
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 2 cans of tuna in water, drained
  • 4 boiled eggs with yolks removed, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced fine
  • 2 slices of bread and butter pickles, diced fine
  • splash lime juice (just a SPLASH yall)
  • 1/4 cup fat free ricotta cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • dash cayenne
  • dash garlic powder

I mixed this chunky goodness like a madwoman for a few moments. I had high hopes for this NEW idea. VOILA!

I toasted an Ezekiel bun. LOVE these buns!!!

Topped it with a nice serving of the mixture and a slice of fat free American cheese.

And then I made a small salad to go with it. It had spinach, Romaine mix, tomato, red pepper flakes, salt & pepper, spray butter and crumbled Melba crackers for "croutons".

HEAR YE! HEAR YE! --------- CALLING ALL TASTY, DELICIOUS, GOOD FOR YOU FOOD LOVERS! TRY THIS IMMEDIATELY!

Do you hear that? Do you hear those tasty food angels singing? I do! I can hear them after every single bite. Singing delicately into my ear. Ahhhhhhh!

Yeah, it was that good! I'm not sure if I was even breathing sufficiently while eating it. I was too busy chewing!

Time to get some "Mr. does not approve" TV time in before the Mr. gets home. HA! Have a great night! ;)

Ha.

Ezekial 4:9 "Take wheat and barley, beans and lentils, millet and spelt; put them in a storage jar and use them to make bread for yourself. You are to eat it during the 390 days you lie on your side.
