The Rain Brings The Crazy...

Like a good little soldier, I painted my brave face on this morning and got ready for work. While studying my tired reflection, I recognized that twinkle of insanity in my eyes. My crooked and wicked little smile was more prominent than usual. And heeeeere we go. Won't you join me on my fantastical ride to demented paradise? Come on yall. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

No, seriously. Do you ever wake up on the wrong foot and just feel like your entire day is ruined? I was having one of those moments but quickly slapped myself out of it. Perhaps the rain brings out the crazy in me? And baby it was pouring outside.

BREAKFAST (meal #1) at 9:30am.

Trick number one to cheering up said crazy self... OIAJ (oats in a jar).
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/4 wheat bran
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • dash pumpkin pie spice
  • pinch salt
  • Splenda
  • (Microwaved, mixed with 2 tbs sugar free raspberry preserves and poured inside an almost empty jar of Better N' Peanut Butter.)

I could hear the angels singing as I took my first bite. The clouds parted, the sun came out and happiness filled my tiny little office. People, I was seen smiling... AT work... I swear it!

Soon after finishing my sweet, decadent and droolworthy breakfast, I lost all power in my office. I swear someone is watching me. They waited for me me to consume all of my joyous, ooey gooey goodness and then WHAM, they got me! They blamed it on "delicate" wiring. I had my space heater on and so did my coworker across the hallway. It tripped the breaker. Which wouldn't have been a big deal if we had known where the breaker box was. BAH! We finally found it in the corner of someones office halfway across the building. We've added on a lot of offices. The building is like a crazy maze!

LUNCH (meal #2) at 12:30pm.

I had a simple lunch of raw veggies with hummus and an egg white, bagel thin sandwich with Sriracha. Simplistically perfect.

The rest of my afternoon sort of flew by today. Busy as always. WILD would be the best way to describe work as of late. WILD!!

SNACK (meal #3) at 4:00pm.

I had a yummy little yogurt mix with blackberries and Udi's granola.

Yum. However, as soon as I was done eating this, I got heartburn. What the hot heck? I never get heartburn! I felt "off" for the rest of the afternoon. I pushed through it and made my way to the gym though.

WORKOUT!

Halfway to the gym, I threw up in my mouth a little bit. Sorry for the vulgarity. The heartburn was still kickin too. Whyyyyyyyy? Once again though, I pushed through it and got a good little workout in. I WILL NOT SURRENDER!

SNACK (meal #4) at 7:30pm.

I made a quick recovery shake when I got home. Just a simple mix of 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze + 1/2 cup water + 1 scoop chocolate whey protein + ice + 4 drops of fudge brownie Capella Flavor Drops.

After cleaning myself up (I was hot mess) I started prepping dinner. I made a big batch of roasted veggies (asparagus + broccoli + cauliflower + mushrooms) which I seasoned with garlic salt, cayenne, red pepper flakes and black pepper.

I also made a quick "quesadilla" in a wheat FlatOut with refried beans, low fat cheddar cheese, taco seasoning and avocado slices. I folded the FlatOut in half, toasted both sides in a pan (sprayed with Pam) and then cut it in half. I topped it with hot salsa and devoured it.

The Mr. is sporting his sexy headset and is currently "communicating" with his team members while they all run around and shoot all of the "bad guys". I truly find his love of that stupid game fascinating. He said the same thing to me about my blog writing/reading obsession. As if the two are anywhere near comparable! I share my thoughts, recipes, daily eats and workouts with lovely ladies who share my interests. We communicate and connect and lean on each other for inspiration, advice, help and suggestions. He just shot a 17 year old boy from Pennsylvania in the face, three times. Please explain to me HOW that's the same? HAHAHAHA!

I better get to bed now. It's midnight!!!! EEEEK!

Have a great night!!
XOXO

Oh that doesn't sound nice (the vomiting part I mean).
Boys and their video games. You know what's even weirder? My dad plays paraglider games with dudes from all over the world. And.. he's my dad!! (and not even in a game-appropriate age!) ;)
